According to the Star Tribune, state manufacturers are reporting difficulty in hiring for two-thirds of available jobs and the challenge has become training and recruiting. Ideally, employers say, students should train on state-of-the-art equipment and sometimes on specific brands of machinery. And schools should have close relationships with employers.
