Statewide Tour of Manufacturing

September 30, 2016

Each October, manufacturers and colleges across the state open their doors to provide students, parents, and the public the chance to learn about modern manufacturing. The Dream It. Do It. Minnesota Statewide Tour of Manufacturing gives participants the opportunity to see how modern manufacturing is high-tech and innovative, and how STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) skills are put into practice every day in manufacturing.

Tours take place throughout the month of October, however most tours will occur during Minnesota Manufacturing Week, October 2-8.

Tour of Manufacturing

Every year, tour participants have their eyes opened to just how amazing modern manufacturing is in Minnesota. Participants also learn about the many different careers in manufacturing.

In fact, according to the results from the 2015 Statewide Tour of Manufacturing post-event event survey:

  • 83% of those who attended said they were interested in manufacturing careers.
  • 90% were more aware of manufacturing careers.
  • 80% thought manufacturing careers were “good.”

The Statewide Tour of Manufacturing is FREE to host and FREE to attend!
